 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.% e% M3 i( h1 g% I% t/ [( l
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
! S; r9 T, g7 O% u7 s! p, T Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.) p, K# N A% N& J; r- E2 N
 Completing required paperwork.+ y$ e5 w1 J( m3 o( v2 B
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
% e3 B. _1 t: ~& Z5 ?. \+ J- V Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
# [2 g% a c" U9 L. s9 n Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. U4 K7 k a/ h! B8 L- g) ^
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.- a/ @, b+ o" U) W, X
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.- U% a9 l% M7 X2 B6 _
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

6 N$ X2 W! x5 k$ Z' r0 ^1 @ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
+ k" f3 U. O Z2 w8 f( j1 ^ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.5 m0 X# e& [& y. V: H( k
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth., Z! _ J% l" n1 F9 ?
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 N9 n7 M1 ^* a# y1 @6 m; X Knowledge of community resources.
4 M' T2 u: n: F3 s2 ~ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.9 [6 S/ L1 U+ ]- R
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
7 k% ^1 n8 E; A5 n/ r! g: Z3 oThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; , |5 j! o9 `7 g) V) _3 x& E
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
