: t4 z/ a- }/ k* a, _ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
" E8 u6 \. n  b; f, m9 c2 Y% o7 C: y; c Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
% D/ _0 c* ?1 u' }5 {8 A Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
9 [" I- [0 C/ c1 y. C" J Completing required paperwork.
5 d: v: B. q. |+ ~; X( k/ y Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
" D7 F4 @+ m; B Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
2 X3 X1 N& u3 Z3 F) k7 g Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
8 J6 _5 {7 }1 |( G Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
% `) B. n# W6 Y, R. E. {/ V& P* d Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

) D5 m! e7 S# v- ]2 ~ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
! W% y( k6 ~" W" T; I: s Knowledge of community resources.
) S* ^! a" K. s Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ w6 E5 M! F! m5 V* I Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

  z* \% z& P( H+ q1 EPosition:
* v/ X' k% _- o  sThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
