4 [1 e) ^1 M  m7 K3 ^1 K8 e Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( U2 Q9 K. ?1 X& F Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
- S3 g* T7 U0 e( J Completing required paperwork.
4 b6 O! X: ]4 ]; \6 z6 ~! f Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ h, D8 {8 T( R4 g; S0 M Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
% Z) l# m% u+ x6 d Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
, Z) S) R/ S) r Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
" N! B  q; m9 `6 N' `! L Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

* T% E) Q- j+ u( R$ G) H9 c7 wQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
% y* B* j* g) b3 f8 _/ v Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
% Y# K/ F1 @* F/ j, Z/ @% D% f
Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
+ P0 N% M; W8 e; j2 C! tstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
