Key Responsibilities & Duties:

! U7 C4 x% X- E; O* ]5 z Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.) u- _& ~3 u' k* d
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 t" B& i8 K5 {& _3 z+ m' ]/ v0 ^# m
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.: T2 I" ^0 S( G" N: ]% _
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures./ Y# v4 u9 R, q$ S& C0 y& q
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

" E; F# H* \: w7 F% X& h( C Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
* v2 l# ?, W+ Z1 I Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills." K) @+ S( O( y7 I4 {' x3 E+ g5 l
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.+ ]8 a! R% e: {7 M7 J: C! W( j& Y
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ R0 O, T! b" ?# G) I Knowledge of community resources.
& T0 g; b. r( j9 D" ~: s Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! c$ @% ~% {: b1 F Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ! o* }$ r0 U4 o/ O3 [& Q6 e/ ~; ~
