Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- g) K2 w/ @/ b Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
$ Y: F, d* T' O5 V: F* q; J' {. }% O) A" U Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
: N; I6 A5 f) U$ v0 c; E Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
& B& k( I5 J0 I  K4 Q6 N" ~ Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

/ ~$ o$ s. W1 Y  `2 R$ z* k& w2 L Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
- Q% J/ e8 J5 W/ @ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
( J8 d3 I4 F& e Knowledge of community resources.
' `) `. y: X) l* J Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
! a; `- ^; X  F6 U! k3 m2 Sstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
