3 v* T8 T0 Y  u, u1 V2 ~Key Responsibilities & Duties:

3 v. P* {, n2 M% ]! `# Y: `* m) { Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: T4 r, S' }4 d& r7 m- |1 E Completing required paperwork.
  M2 J7 o  d; t% w  p+ u Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
7 U9 k" q" r0 R# J Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) T, }) o" D  t9 }( ^$ _1 k Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
/ v& R# ]3 V- h3 I  P* R" A Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

3 u% r: {1 U* _Qualifications:

, M8 Y4 _+ z2 U, L6 T) n Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
4 v, |- j9 M* i3 v3 Z: T- g+ M Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
+ i4 c& r8 M  L1 D6 y2 L Knowledge of community resources.
2 R' m% v6 K% j5 N/ p0 V Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
+ n  u3 y5 b) ?; R$ I+ J: s5 m Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

/ u  Z# d. a9 H& }: G, JPosition:
7 B7 S% B! D% L) i7 T9 uThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
