Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
" P3 q0 o% u. Q& o$ o* i* r. |$ `9 GReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
, [( R y/ `. ^- x# m; MResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
; p7 X# C, _3 V0 p1 c# KMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

1 w7 N' k9 M9 K3 O7 VQualifications
) \" f4 e" t8 h" [$ M& p4 F: h8 {' l- @4 p. n! E* h
Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
7 p- d% M: D/ g6 ?% @+ LMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings & S$ z0 C( ?9 J- V# @1 z$ B) P
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman G, c) |1 r& g q
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
, h* [1 C( B9 Q2 Y" a7 lUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
: u$ P& g8 o. A4 r, rUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects / |+ O* e$ }3 F
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office - q+ F$ m4 x6 D# q% Z/ w
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
