Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

3 P  Z* W5 R5 M# Y& \1 kWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
0 y& X% b) ?: X: Q) u2 DResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
5 a1 I9 q) {% y/ }( h& L, p: |Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

' u; {  c% Q2 VQualifications
6 }3 S* K1 R5 e6 m' b1 c/ t0 ^
. z  ^' o# u' u  x+ hGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
( }* q  c' c" E) l* z) R+ WMinimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
' ~' R( _( _* sUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
2 i& A( o0 `8 _  pUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
! {  t' |: D+ R& N0 {Ability to work independently as well as in a team
