An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
4 B# p) x4 x7 D( _6 g1 Z) U6 ?•        Process research equipment design;
2 U, N3 X" g* @6 O& O•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
. o* f- \' ]& S, D/ H•        Others.

Qualifications:
. T2 k$ c5 j2 Q•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
( v" g" X, i4 ^* G8 X& B4 }. A•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

  ^9 J' A  V3 o3 y9 @5 BSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
