An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

" A! j2 R: k. ]3 P1 f/ g, g7 v) uMajor Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
& E4 ?1 ]1 y" f•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
1 }: ~# i9 f# i9 z•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
2 r- ^5 m9 ~& c: T•        Equipment design experience is required;
# d7 R* Y* s) G5 j& y•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
1 B8 L! P( C) X5 n•        Familiar with CAD software;
& L: c0 R* S5 p•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
' s  m) N" W; r$ x+ z•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

/ \4 Y; \* h- fCompensation:
& J: G, p3 j. l) i) QSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
