An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
3 M7 A( z7 C% Q3 `& l0 R" b•        Process research equipment design;
: b1 @1 U4 n% I•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
8 S' i. R6 D' ?# a" g: {•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
/ G, e+ }% X" j7 v; n8 a, s•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
7 X9 t. b4 n, U; o1 c•        Equipment design experience is required;
9 O# @/ j7 A2 L5 S7 h# J9 q, T•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

% d) g( V6 Z+ p  F/ P3 MSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
