B% r7 H" N- FAn engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
•        Process research equipment design;
" T/ O. }' a7 t" |9 v; s* w•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
; f1 g% g$ J, _5 @+ v9 }( D•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

) E' r9 C' ^0 v* |Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
$ e3 u" G: Y5 Z# y) h3 R- B•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
0 W/ e! o6 c- i. z/ n•        Familiar with CAD software;
/ H. o# \  \4 z  c" B  r! i) i& ^•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
( u5 B5 F: l$ u2 X! ^" Y& l' G•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
