/ M, ~8 c2 x" x) H' E3 g! Y- h( f
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
$ M  o8 V% N' ~8 ?" r+ u! Z$ C Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
! l$ O$ {2 ?; Q) ? Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
. ?' \' i/ w) M Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
: d' L* i$ ]& F* Y) D, \! N. E Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
1 e7 o+ V# {5 {% g1 R2 r/ y Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
6 H6 C  p; m$ X, `2 F5 o. C Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

% x* M9 x+ d; p- Z3 m& z! D Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. y+ k" C/ c3 y, x2 d Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
* P5 @/ Z, x7 I" ^1 n Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
9 y- \; E3 |/ | Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
