 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
. z6 z6 f: g) C9 J& b  d Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
4 L0 X: m: b3 S& O8 L& M' e Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
# T! Y# ^& g# h- e* c8 G/ I Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
* }  f% Q5 U0 z( U# n) g$ b0 z/ E Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
. n. R" X! R$ H8 G) Z Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

; I8 |& S+ G* {: ]2 f8 H, `8 v8 h Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 A7 _7 Y6 K: C; ^ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
' ?# e# [/ ?2 r6 g Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
1 a% ~# z" I) R, nstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
