- m6 P  e- z" M- e( zKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
+ _- O9 b, t5 T; b; u: ~4 ] Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
: N0 M* \" @. |# L& i  x; C* o8 @& p Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
5 L" ^, g9 u" H! R; @  S Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
* X  ^' b; `# `% `& y Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

& c- g# t: f  n! U  V  S& k
8 s) Z/ _! v8 z& }( r Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
$ U, K+ |* f$ H8 O; a8 Q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 I* Z' Z* Q9 Z: ]' \! v Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
3 T8 @( |6 H' F Knowledge of community resources.
; x, n- ]! j. K Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
# e6 j# n1 |  y6 S  |8 r5 Gstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
