V9 z0 X( ZEssential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.( D3 F j5 b, `$ v% _2 i& q

Recruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.5 n# M* U+ g) D5 v5 J0 S
) F, j* z+ {5 x( ~: M& [: S3 GTraining – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.

8 R% S, J5 S+ k& KOrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.( K0 [! 4 d u$ C5 o: a6 `- S2 K& ^Networking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.

& `2 a" w7 N! p3 pProfessional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position. s( l' w! U, Q. r# V3 c9 z8 @+ g+ o4 m
9 ^5 H" ]1 N; `) {: y# O. e+ O3 wProposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators. " M E _ R) X- X

Project Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.
