* m# Z: O' S" L/ v6 c1. sub floor did not hold tight to the floor joists. Screws are doing better than nails for this purpose.

For 2, you may need someone with engineering knowledge to find out, but there should be a building code governing the span distance. For 3, you can go down the basement to do a visual check yourself.( }( w, _/ _* x' U% R
