Department Information  
Gas Development is comprised of natural gas business development, Enbridge investments in existing gas infrastructure and investments in long-term gas development initiatives.  The Group currently manages investments totaling $1 billion, with earnings of approximately $100 million.   This new Senior Business Advisor position will report directly to the Director Finance & Control, Gas Development.  The position will work closely with Business Development Management to ensure financial planning models for existing businesses reflect the most current commercial & economic outlooks.  This position will also develop initial financial models, and analyze risks and opportunities, related to potential new businesses identified by Gas Development.

& d8 ]! w& J7 n* r* J% R" ~0 g Maintain and analyze financial models of existing Gas Development investments to ensure financial performance meets corporate expectations; where appropriate, identify opportunities to optimize commercial values;

% q" A8 g# L0 W* l& U1 IWork closely with Gas Development Management to ensure financial models reflect current commercial contracts and economic / financial outlooks;
% V! U! U( k; ]6 u% n
7 e  c4 B7 r- S4 pOngoing risk assessment and determine impacts for financial planning;

# ]' t! p" N0 _Liaise with senior financial representatives from partners/JVs to ensure an understanding of key financial/commercial issues and the impact to financial results and forecasts;

. @/ t  W2 t8 I3 z' P# vWorking closely with Gas Development Management, will develop initial financial models and evaluations of natural gas infrastructure opportunities valued in the range of $100 million to $1 billion+;

Work closely with Senior Advisors/Managers of Corporate Development & Investment Review to ensure consistency of financial evaluation techniques for new opportunities and ensure clear and timely communication of project risks and opportunities;
/ W! y# w# d3 u9 [Manage the input of various Corporate Departments in assessing new and existing capital investments;

' w1 R5 m+ R$ W& {3 ]6 {5 s9 mProvide financial support for investment proposals to Senior Gas Division & Enbridge Management;

Specific responsibilities include: preparation and review of financial models; managing the financial assessment of commercial structures and operating environments, provide advice on key financial assumptions; and assess opportunities & risks of current / proposed investments; determination of asset values/bid prices; use of appropriate valuation methodologies; and due diligence reviews.

Assist Director in developing and analyzing financial results and forecasts (annual budgets, forecasts, and long range plan).

Business/Finance Degree coupled with an MBA, CFA or accounting designation.

10-15 years financial experience at progressively senior analyst/advisor levels within the energy industry;

& T+ |) V, @1 H0 c) nGas industry experience preferred;

Extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial planning or strategic planning;

Experience in business evaluations and due diligence with respect to large scale energy projects;

A high degree of personal initiative;

Strategic thinker.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
