MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:' z. B$ ^0 u3 l5 j
 Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
2 M) u1 z8 L& r- ~: k' j- v Review, develop and improve processes and procedures$ c3 l& ~6 ^7 x$ Y( U# h
 Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs8 j B9 {4 I0 i6 H( b! L$ r K5 q5 ~
 Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients" s4 a$ v# F7 H J5 M: A
- }3 t7 M# `3 x+ O2 Q; x" e8 [+ Q: x% p
QUALIFICATIONS:
7 z6 u" I% C8 o$ A7 \# d n• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
+ c* a* p! _ X) X• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
$ d$ b- K4 z* e, K) |3 w• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
: r$ \! z5 Q" p. X• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
% K' x# C8 N* M1 i9 ~5 A• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
7 d9 E, T$ h) {% m• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
* Z4 q6 i2 q& }- a• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office0 B% a, [2 \5 r5 p9 N3 U3 A
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
