Recruit Participants

$ @2 j8 `+ A# I3 w* ?' N. {- Y-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
3 ?/ l- A: z  e2 }3 H-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

6 i: r, J6 u1 i9 @# T# \$ VOrganize Leadership Training Sessions
-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
! l1 A- e  \8 @3 X9 x5 w. ]  J-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

Plan and Facilitate identified public events
-        with youth participants

) q3 U# t; N7 B  I+ V8 yMedia coverage
! w( {7 a7 N3 {7 j" i0 c-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
4 z9 c- A5 Y" @$ I2 c6 h-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
) r# B: G5 n+ R-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations

Professional Development
7 z7 o5 i; C) }" ~7 v0 E-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

0 P% M" K7 @# kProposal Creation
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

Reports to Funders and Program Manager
. N* i2 O5 z, E# e) S& i-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder

: N8 J, w, o; L, L: o4 cProject Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
- A, Z  e/ J: d3 y( L-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
1 P, a" S- P7 s# e7 a7 _9 u2 F-        experience with project coordination
-        degree or diploma in human services field
  T& @% u' ]- e, M) [-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
