Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and I) p- i2 e: A, D7 p) _
execution of the YWCA Strategy

• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
# _ ~" M, e4 O. ]8 g* M8 Zthe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
4 g7 O- B8 m. H* \, y) S0 V0 Sthe Board of Directors; 5 L8 e4 C# t9 Y0 S* q) Y
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
. s5 j L$ r* |including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to R1 R. e7 v1 j( a/ B
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; $ t8 {3 g' N% C3 {7 E* s
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
( ^! e" l) @( T$ H% z& y+ Xobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ' G9 f7 |: \( q+ F/ H
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; B; V# l5 [4 H: u+ j" L8 k
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
! o8 ?: r; x! r9 kselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
. G: C, M2 v3 z• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 9 W5 h0 u G4 U C% ^5 n6 x
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring / S" ~3 O: ?* F/ A* v; B
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; 1 t& h+ M4 n" C
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal ( `& a& d' _( M! \
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
) u. h0 b, E" I5 i6 gthe forthcoming year;
m5 E$ Q# D: y* N4 ?# O2 p$ y• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; & z: L. N' j+ e- w9 R' M. o" M
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, , h3 g; j: g. P2 \" x
Networking and Fundraising;
