execution of the YWCA Strategy

3 L# K% s: j8 A' ?& D• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of - W4 _7 J% U( o* M
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by & x3 v* C* e+ e1 Q0 a) e5 b
the Board of Directors; " _7 J# U9 M0 B9 m; g
• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations ( W$ X5 D0 L; z, f/ g+ w
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 0 K# V% W, }/ y8 y- S3 ?, A
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; 5 h! {0 _9 N6 f0 ^5 q T
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and
: c, V7 ~3 S, { c. E' Vobjectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by
( c1 _9 V7 L6 ?% ~; K: Qthe board; ( G' K# _$ g+ I: ~
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; / Y& N+ {6 X: |2 q" S
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 8 q$ t) F6 u. T
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; . I; l. E- p" E. l& V$ X
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ) E+ W) L" b( h$ x& }0 e- H
changing needs of the organization and community;
0 n6 w ?7 a: V/ R• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders;
" g) i- v/ m% Y$ B1 T8 L* c* {• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
0 o! K% p2 b- [- _7 Y( E3 J: Pselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
% R- W2 S+ J0 K: _/ ~# Q( G. Z• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 3 L% w, H+ x% x* f& r% c
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

- n$ m1 v4 F# {6 I• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring
/ `( N( q; J$ g$ U9 ?the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
`8 Q- q H# O7 s8 W$ T• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
/ |% G% o' i( _; j! ^performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ; f3 `0 ~& |5 U6 F
the forthcoming year;
5 z: m1 [/ [, V4 h; e• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 8 q$ ?. i: _! ~( l& p5 I4 g: C
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task

• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles;

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

" [7 D7 U' O' \3 D• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; * Q# K( W; t% Z9 O b# W3 [% B- y1 f
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

Networking and Fundraising;
