一对老两口有两个女儿，
The older daughter was married to a man who sold umbrellas, while the younger one was married to a man who sold straw hats.                
大女儿嫁给了一个卖雨伞的，二女儿嫁给了一个卖草帽的。
9 `+ w' I6 n8 A6 ~$ J, rTherefore, whenever it was a fine day,                
所以，每当遇到晴天的时候，
& d1 r- h5 N' S/ @- P- J# U$ sthe mother would sigh: “Oh, it’s a bad day for my elder son-in-law.”
做母亲的就会叹气：“哎！大女婿的雨伞卖不出去了。”
5 r5 d6 r* z, E) F- I- y  SBut if it was a rainy day, she would sigh as well: “Nobody’s going to buy my younger son-in-law’s straw hats.”
遇到雨天，她还是会叹气：“二女婿的草帽没人买了！” ，
4 T1 F5 F. ?& ?So she was never happy, rain or shine.
所以，晴天雨天老太太都不高兴。
1 B. q8 u: r2 QBut her husband saw the matter in a different light.He was happy, rain or shine.         
7 E" D' ^1 O5 U% t7 s- p) R可是老先生却恰恰相反，不论晴天雨天，老先生都很高兴。
. ?& e* L$ |9 `+ a6 S1 @' KOn sunny days, he would think that his younger son-in-law would sell lots of straw hats,
晴天时他想到二女婿的草帽会卖得好，
and on rainy days he would think of his elder son-in-law doing well selling his umbrellas.
9 d  Z) t* A- C3 l9 c雨天时他想到大女婿的雨伞会卖得好，
In reality, happiness is a kind of attitude.

9 K( E0 G9 V: B, \It is never far from you, depending on whether you are contented or not.
