The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

3 q- O% q8 ~# [/ Q* n6 q; D, k§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
, X% C1 K( }/ X8 k§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ! u2 ~( D( K8 ^/ K) m: z+ L0 O6 t
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation" Y- {6 q# {! C3 v: f# a  ^
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
/ i3 m& }! y; I1 @9 x, _8 L+ H* {) y3 R§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk' h( s3 f6 P# V
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert8 h3 w- e! U4 ~# j" d/ h1 X
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties2 [" t5 Y* K5 T% Q  Q6 N2 [
§ Special projects as required  i* }4 M+ ^" {4 X$ Z
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls, [+ m. b( K3 p0 @/ z* E

) o% ]6 f! U  S3 h§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience3 @, J# z7 x: w* @; G! P
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
' ^/ k+ R4 S7 V: W) C5 J: H" W§ Fundamental commitment to customer service6 N4 }$ V) b- ]( ]
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
8 G" b0 h2 C! Q3 O0 M§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware6 X7 `9 A% K$ s4 h0 @
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software% ^+ f2 g7 V; \. ~& o  [: q
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems* b% g5 i: c" H1 I7 W

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 7 v  t- N2 \9 k( W; A% Y: f

4 H  }. g, @- v  HResponsibilities:& K- Y( S5 `) K3 @; o
§ Manage a stable local IT environment
& R" n8 X; n( A6 B- m$ Y1 W* Q§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
% ]! w( ]! P5 }( v' T4 Y$ }8 D9 J§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
- V0 y* p5 s  O. U% O7 [§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
# B- t5 x+ n. L$ ~9 z! O§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports# v4 x7 A$ |& y
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation) M( s* ?; ]4 o2 v5 q
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
* N& G& d0 ]9 J2 ^: ]+ ^§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times- R$ _. J* P& ^4 f
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
( ^  P3 R$ q! D: I9 M% ^- E" U§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
% U5 ]$ }7 e  ^4 [. g3 t§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
2 y& B5 ^  T' H* ]6 [4 M- Z' J§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk* Y4 B# P4 S# M* @0 ~3 Y) o+ ?/ A
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert* L  y+ Q- w9 J' [. S
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
6 f& I# Z  Z) T# N5 k% Y% s& g§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance6 d5 M! X1 o" }4 O' Z  Y/ P
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
9 G, s. m. S; n  R% W§ Coordinate and support end user training
$ B2 Y/ W! g; N7 P§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers
2 N3 c5 D6 p8 J+ V; s§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance3 E/ w0 p7 g7 W% V
§ Manage all printers in the building

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
