The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.! ^! s6 u' J% C2 e5 M+ H4 ]

Responsibilities:
& n+ r" k5 o% a* l& F§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
0 M# \4 M3 G! ^+ s0 Q3 w§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 5 D; D' e8 T1 @7 r
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
i8 W5 `* S# |6 o5 i2 ?§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
( U2 c& f. A% L§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk+ M; w6 P& Z+ v; F
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert2 H. T2 k# Y" V5 @
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
& k* J4 E. M' C) k6 V+ E§ Special projects as required0 L$ J3 P! w7 O
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:
; c a8 {5 N- K" V6 a$ k§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience* L" F- _0 E; { f" J3 |1 I+ H- ^
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
S( F1 `% i* [& I& a2 A3 e1 U§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
0 ^" f# w8 i) f# S2 E( L§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues

( n* C9 M0 ?& u§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems8 [0 G' ^3 u$ i9 Z. n( p

D' J7 c- N% ~3 Z5 `) q9 nThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). u6 j4 D/ f9 ], O3 \: Z4 D! x

Responsibilities:

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives, e" S V) @. F" U2 M, Q
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

, i4 l- l o- _+ K9 F§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to. f7 ]! L$ x, R

§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access1 ~; ?8 a4 ?: t: ]2 r5 G
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
