% C4 }: Z3 R4 w1 D* N# o* u+ S5 aThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.& R i9 @6 B% }* s S0 p4 R

* d- i( K8 @# a5 | i% B* ~§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
( x; \) l6 \+ o$ O8 H§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
" |$ x% g5 e% p5 c( ^0 P) G3 m§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation6 r7 K1 U4 f$ l& x; Z9 a2 y
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision

§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
5 v( U' \) i% c/ q9 l§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
0 G1 A, M, _ m3 }5 U§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
' i' ?" e9 w* D( n5 ]§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
% G6 G/ N; e8 j% ~4 J§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation3 C7 k+ B& n, b1 \( F7 @
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
4 |; \7 ~4 n0 o x( t, g* \+ e§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
/ u$ ~, a, |& x9 I7 ^+ C$ n; ?§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access, _3 k5 S! ^4 e8 X [
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
4 D9 ?. m& U5 m4 Z# [- {§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan. O: q+ f* y- g& g. y
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk& i3 Y( j: ^1 |+ G% H8 J
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
