Turn around mean shutdown.
It could be the whole plant or part of the plant shutdown, depend on the schedule.

I think you are talking about Suncor main plant, here in Suncor Firebag we have 2 weeks of turnaround in September.

You'd better check it out before you take this job.

I printed the words above at a paper. I presented it at today’s morning safety meeting and asked the meaning of “TRUNAROUND”.. There were nobody really knew the meaning of “TURNAROUND”.
2 }+ W9 i( c8 u( Z4 oOne local 424 member said” TURNAROUND means ten days on 4 days off.”
Another said:” maybe means shutdown.”
3 ^- d: I3 {8 S) ]6 S5 l. D6 aMy foreman said: “ I am not sure. Maybe it is a couple of days. It is better to call the dispatch office to know.”
