                   Summer Job Opportunity for
      Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2010

Responsibilities:
-        Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program (ages 6 to 15)
, t/ n( R# m1 `& }' _4 m-        Recruit children for summer programs
-        Recruit and train volunteers for summer programs
, [4 e9 Z* k3 d4 u% b- @0 P- z-        Budgeting and record keeping
-        Provide orientation for parents
-        Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency
-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

' X" `. C' \# {Qualifications:
-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
+ i( J# j- P+ q$ {- n( S9 }-        Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
( v  N# b% _7 i-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
! |" V. m1 O4 g-        Returning student to post-secondary institution in Fall 2010
* C2 [1 c  p9 ^" x, x" ~-        Have current first aid certificate
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
-        Employment term is May 25 to August 31, 2010

Salary
