Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:7 j" H* y2 q7 _5 I9 C8 O4 F6 d
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
$ i# V( t1 C: J9 J V4 c/ H( g7 Z' hThe problem should be inside the bucket.

- d k1 s8 m$ ^5 o& VWhen the problem happened, we observed that the contactor has a pulling action but will not seal.
4 R( l+ n# L; {$ n3 Q4 A2 XUse a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
$ n3 x8 q$ V3 N' QConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.( _, j: R% U# I3 J( D
8 Y# c# E2 r( DThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.9 u0 B" l0 Q$ C* k" ?
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.3 m) ^) z3 f0 i4 t& x8 |
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
