cannot的发音，重音是在第一个音节上。中国同学多数人会说错。

, G+ S: j" J4 X. e# O/ `# y因为发音不对，很多时候在写作是也会把cannot误写成can not。

1 w6 k  w, Q. l! n2 v* S3 g有些前卫的语言学家认为 can not 可以用来 代替 cannot。但是绝大多数英语人口表示，除了在中国学生的论文里，从来没见过或者用过can not这种形式。

但是，实际上在某种极为特殊的语境下，可以见到 can not。比如

9 ^/ H3 v7 r& {+ I  \: @6 P3 LYou can stay here; or you can not stay here. It's up to you. 但是这里的 can not 和cannot意义完全不同。实际这句话的意思是，

You can choose to stay here; or you can choose not to stay here. It's up to you.

can't 用于口语中，比如 I can't go to school because I'm sick.

I like doing sports such as jogging, swimming, horseriding, kayaking and so on.(不太合乎英语的表达方式）至少是在正式的写作时。

这是一个formal和informal 的问题， 口语上可以用什么都可以， 但是essay里面要用cannot， 现在的word里会直接改正can not， 所以说不用担心拼写的问题
