CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

$ Z& r+ L. G6 S$ i) CNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.+ u' ?# y9 L/ O- ?+ Q8 _) t$ M

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage. d$ O+ `* r: s- M% y) s0 q/ D2 w

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
