CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

8 _# Y2 S. ]; GNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.- v) {9 N: ?0 f* L2 @" W- K# _

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil./ l# v+ G# _/ [: m4 I6 X
