CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.4 C' L, Q* P, M) N6 G

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.

; Q. V$ w4 `# r2 I4 SThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.6 n* i9 O+ W3 b7 G8 j. }

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
