CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.* ]1 H5 X$ W+ H3 t- I. u

No one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.( v* w& M0 a. \
" w% {5 i2 U* i* S0 iThe energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.: H) s; d" X8 ^
6 o, j, w/ v. i4 D, s6 q* S7 lSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
