Responsibilities
/ y- ^1 u2 y: ^2 E2 xAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
* ~4 r2 R" W/ Q4 L1 F$ J+ jWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
* `' y% {. l2 r3 K3 s% j4 H+ CMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
8 ]  k- |: a$ n4 ]) dMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
/ i2 E+ M( K5 x& v! p. w% k- XParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.

- E' u4 K, [( u+ ~' p1 PAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
