  f2 Q& f: r" LAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
) T2 w7 v6 ?- j7 bMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
' u+ c0 T  b; U9 [Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
( m& N/ i3 l$ `' I, _% A% e4 d0 R) yParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
/ H! F& B7 \! ]- g- O; _, I  ]Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
: h5 [3 z8 F. B8 @Computer skills an asset.
: B: W5 X7 q! V) V: d: u0 Y/ \An energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
