Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
% f1 o0 @" Z# H+ t-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
+ y2 n7 l; [) h1 J2 \1 r- f/ J-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health
& y' d" i& C$ d% P

2 h) L0 \8 M/ @. AKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
! y8 I1 V3 W2 r3 o# ]6 ]* m/ K-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
) L7 W! B; {$ Q7 ?-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
2 D$ H. `" c- X/ B$ ?" Y-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
, r) @+ E1 g, h& b# s! P* [/ W  P-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
' A7 G) _4 b: k; [7 `3 Z% P+ [-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
+ ^0 G+ c- A- r' s. w+ w- i% E$ {-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
