- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
- ~3 w$ |$ O8 C8 I- r! J4 n- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
' M+ w) c+ ?. z% v/ E+ f' f- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
8 V5 d( V1 W$ \% f( Q- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs1 A6 x: F5 I( l* N
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

~, y, b5 p( p) W' IKey Qualifications:
% ~. N1 V- Q4 }- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
, w6 A; e3 v- {' d* F8 p8 O+ d* L: a- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
2 i* ~2 \/ _4 J- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others0 v7 }& m- K1 Y
- Experience doing program development
5 e5 Q7 C0 h$ c; L& Q$ p) r- Strong organizational and coordination skills
/ _# Q# q3 P: H, A" T- Self-directed and able to take initiative
3 S: h2 ?: Q5 u* L+ K! i8 x- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
& b% L' g! N# U9 A- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license9 W0 E1 n p' [5 m

- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
