Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

3 C; r9 X1 `: O# gResponsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
8 M: F/ x7 g+ ?+ ?& _& h6 P6 u-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
4 ?$ ]: Z' z, D- C* e/ [( `$ q-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
5 j- Z% P2 S1 a7 V8 {/ D3 H-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health

-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
