Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

2 k- D! D+ j" NResponsibilities:
! r, C! }- S6 ?% a& S-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
7 W5 L9 e6 c5 j# N5 L-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
2 @$ X, g8 [+ e-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
# E9 Z+ ?8 |5 H-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
! {* k( h% @" Q% e1 q-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
& m6 T  t/ ?" n4 S0 d-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
2 Z; h0 t( E$ m( Y' U3 J7 e-        Skills in marketing & promotions
6 g# U6 x- E7 r$ q-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
