- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth" m1 _, X! G/ z7 A
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling* ^$ T( s y Y5 U% O0 m
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups) `- d6 D3 P+ b4 G% ~
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs

Key Qualifications:
4 ?$ ]: Z' z, D- C* e/ [( `$ q- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
5 j- Z% P2 S1 a7 V8 {/ D3 H- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement( K4 u) Q" P( H" @2 d f
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others$ K- K* f2 U4 G4 X) M. u) V
- Experience doing program development& ~, L" N/ Z, N* x
- Strong organizational and coordination skills. [( x. Q& O9 G0 S9 H
- Self-directed and able to take initiative1 z- n; j' W9 F- P2 I1 B
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset. L" @7 T; L! M1 r8 `( I: B
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license4 j, D! a) e, w' ?1 A

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation3 e' w6 D, h F. ?! z
- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities( N# s& y7 i. D8 _
- An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
