Responsibilities:
5 }; r; x& b4 |4 R' t. X2 V' e- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth6 X' o! H7 b7 w; d7 S* q" W5 O# a% Y
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling! Z& H' @* c, ~/ [
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups$ k8 r$ m. U) n7 F. x% z
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs

4 L4 L8 \4 s) P- O8 UKey Qualifications:
% Q( z$ X' {/ a3 y3 c$ P9 { z- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences8 o7 L3 r" q4 Y
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
9 D1 \. _& x& ? D- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others9 i; m$ }# g5 v1 N/ G! H5 U3 L! |. b
- Experience doing program development8 y' j8 w. I( X9 v
- Strong organizational and coordination skills# \7 y* p0 l) k$ Z$ k
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ h3 }4 ]# b( V) U- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
, n* D/ |& g! a& g% Y( {- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license% E3 }& L2 H6 Q; Z: i7 X3 D
