To qualify for an Alberta Qualification Certificate based on work experience, a person must:; o5 R4 U7 k' S: |( M
7 _* l& Y4 z# T% D1 F7 U
have at least 8,775 hours and 72 months of ‘hands-on’ work experience as an electrician
2 m' p+ j/ ]& ^5 F3 k% k( LTime spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or on a training course is NOT counted as ‘hands-on’ work experience.

' t' u) s9 X) Y* m" [complete the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience Application and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office

This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant's work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination.
