A baby food recall is underway as a popular Heinz baby cereal may contain elevated levels of a mycotoxin.; ?# v6 n; X# A8 z' C; A* n
: ]$ ~# d; ]' D6 ~The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Heinz Canada are warning parents about ‘Heinz Mixed Cereal, Stage 2, From 6 Months’. The best before date codes located on the top left hand corner of the package are ‘BB/MA 10 DE 26’ and ‘BB/MA 10 DE 29’.
) B/ [) ~: U/ {0 r0 S: U4 Y$ vNo illnesses have been reported from consuming the cereal. Heinz Canada says that the cereal may contain elevated levels of Ochratoxin A (OTA).

In a news release, CFIA says Ochratoxin A is a mycotoxin produced by fungi that can grow in food such as grains, grapes and coffee beans and has been classified by as a possible human carcinogen.) `1 P( Y+ X, N) Y; ^" g) r
