Due to the unexpected national shortage of the H1N1 vaccine, Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health and Wellness will target immunization to Albertans at high risk.* a6 z) {9 [9 T% R6 d* E/ D! A

Those currently eligible for H1N1 immunization are:. K: q% D7 X' q; X+ O

* Both parents, or one parent and one caregiver of infants under six months of age;7 Y6 a& u' b- g
* Children under 10 as of November 1 with chronic health conditions (e.g. diabetes);! e* |6 U( W1 a" F0 R7 i# z2 D4 e
* Children over six months and under five years as of November 1; and
+ u' O% A" l6 s8 i) W. J * Pregnant women. 2 k( B: C2 ?, A
+ d8 A. O9 S9 W) ~On November 12 and ongoing, new groups being added include:

* People with chronic conditions aged 55 to 64 as of November 1;1 X e! M, N* d* L0 W+ M1 Y3 R
* People with chronic conditions aged 10–17 as of November 1. (Combined with the group added November 6, this group ranges from 5 to 17).
