influenza virus is contagious and is spread person to person via close
0 A; A# x$ B0 I2 Ncontact. The virus also rests on hard surfaces such as counters and
; R; O4 r, d% ?doorknobs and can spread when people touch contaminated surfaces and4 _' A% l( \: J4 K! m
then unknowingly transfer the virus to their eyes, nose or mouth.) X, X' M, g% j
Practicing good preventive hygiene (e.g., wash your hands and cover your# u1 w+ d7 W( M: e9 w
cough) and following the self-care practices as outlined by Alberta
5 @6 k6 O. X( |Health and Wellness will greatly assist in minimizing the chance of
: t! m8 T# {1 M5 T% e+ rinfection.
