Position Overview  
* ~5 c5 m' K+ {4 f  ]' |6 p4 p The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

-  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
, u# y1 c; r% j+ f3 D- v: }- }-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
, k% O8 O5 P& c: |-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
* [+ U$ Y- t9 _( O9 {* e-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

0 d/ F2 x5 D( i1 E7 D5 U2 j - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
% D) R' L' Z/ N* b0 q5 C/ I-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
$ e+ j. i0 u" Q$ A5 X6 N7 f-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
