Field Operator - Balzac

Position Overview  
The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
Job Duties/Responsibilities  
. h- _; b! T" U1 I -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
% W* h7 D$ [. J# W5 v1 Q6 y* |-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
, |6 y& O) l" e-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
/ Q4 i2 p! l- A8 z-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
! X+ j6 w5 m) ^5 ~( J% |1 z6 \* Q-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

Education/Experience  
9 y7 g& x2 l: ?7 j% c7 ~0 D - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
9 p: s% E1 R) f4 u/ w' A+ M5 u3 b. H-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
2 h6 _+ R1 s$ I8 Q+ a-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
