4 y$ M4 S4 i0 Z3 ^3 p9 {1 f4 TThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
) X1 u8 w- S: {1 Z5 w/ J7 sEligibility Criteria
; O+ v2 Q! ~; N; T) x5 MAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
  e+ ^3 F" y( v% e6 L3 E•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
) s9 }. f4 \2 \4 O8 M8 a•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
$ d) w- k; c. n8 R6 J•Be eligible to work in Canada
- s9 l+ W+ B7 q$ X1 B; J•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

4 ^6 |/ q6 o/ q1 jThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
