THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
5 F  X& [9 T' k& v, k6 i24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
/ E- X( V1 ]" q( I•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
# i: L5 r( g+ {4 l- m•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
+ m' [- v8 \6 B4 K6 b/ G# C5 _•Be eligible to work in Canada
1 d# L8 d0 w7 T; n•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
