Police Service Preparation Program

This program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

, Q1 r5 a9 v6 i( RStart date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
Programs run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

Entrance Criteria
You must be/have:
0 O6 y- t$ G7 |$ c$ F& w• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Unemployed or underemployed
  D9 `* j( _. P. c+ V) s' P• Minimum 18 years of age
• Good moral character
• Good health and physical condition
• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
6 P) }- w% w7 e' E" W8 a• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
