The Automation Department is responsible for all activities, programs and projects related to the above mentioned systems and applications as well as the field instrumentation.

The Process Automation CO-OP position works with Instrumentation, Systems and Process Control Engineers, as well as DCS Specialists, to ensure timely execution of new projects and maintenance activities. It reports to the Process Automation Supervisor or his designee.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
& a6 r+ w( I! [The Automation assignment provides an opportunity to learn about:
$ i$ Y  @' h( X! j* w- A: a• Instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems, PLC, Special Control Systems, Configuration of systems, hardware and software maintenance, applications development and support
• All aspects of the project development life cycle
8 V- `: l- [$ t( ^• Life in a multi-site, multi-disciplinary team

5 d0 I& q1 E3 W. U7 }- J: qSpecific Duties/Responsibilities:
• Identify and resolve requirements related to field instrumentation or process control systems
$ a  \! i! ?3 p; q• Develop and / or maintain applications at the Process Control or Information Systems level
4 X) N6 V% r5 y- e" I• Help with the installation of new hardware, software and equipment

Education / Experience
: s+ O8 c. t: k, BWe are looking for a candidate following Chemical, Electrical or Systems engineering studies, with emphasis in control and instrumentation

Control or information Systems configuration
• Refinery type instrumentation
• Project development process and life cycle
• Working in a team environment
