CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Key administrative duties:

, ^* F4 }: q6 ] M$ u• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

2 S3 B! Q8 A! }+ U% T• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.7 e( m! @6 {3 W; ]( z6 R

• Support management of online publicity and communication tools.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions3 L8 x/ E, j: x6 D3 [
$ v5 s# V! t, X+ @0 e• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts. q. D1 c0 G+ O4 ~
5 [# Y: ?0 X% U, y8 p. S• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

! o" P1 I& v& Z5 ?" jSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development./ v5 u: j4 ?4 K6 Q/ _* {/ V
