Position Title: Junior Engineering Technologist (EPCOR-Dist-282-05)
Job Description/Duties: Duties include liaising with customers; performing field inspections; reviewing land and Right of Way requirements; preparing cost estimates; monitoring costs; ensuring as builts are accurately completed and resource scheduling. You will also be required to be an effective member of the team to which you will be assigned, as well as operate computers with a variety of software. You bring a comprehensive amount of directly related experience to the position. A Developmental Level appointment will be considered for applicants with less than the related experience requirements. Computer experience in spreadsheet, database, word processing and CAD systems is required. Experience with MicroStation J would be an asset. You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail, demonstrated initiative, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Applicants must posses a valid Alberta Drivers License and may be required to supply their own vehicle with appropriate business insurance for use on EPCOR Distributions business. Reimbursement for these expenses will occur in accordance with EPCORs Vehicle Allowance Policy.
Qualifications: You have completed a two (2) year diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from a recognized technical institute, and are eligible for registration as a technologist with A.S.E.T.
