Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special

% w3 j( c! [* b+ `. [5 \) ~Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
0 {5 E2 k$ C: L6 Z· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
+ v- k! m1 a+ O· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 1 N# {& b* V8 P- y. `4 a3 I2 e; ~
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
) b7 r% i1 [1 Vadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
8 K1 [7 ^) y( L. f: @, ?7 rset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. ! V. X; X" i. Y
· Attend and manage Special Events ! z. Z' G% v! J! X, Q! b( E
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 4 d) `' @5 C( {/ [0 g
* `$ ]# O- g5 @0 X2 yDuties: Volunteer Coordination 3 c J( v9 l7 W7 u. p" K: \, S. a
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
- d8 z: x4 i' ]$ s, E· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
1 x6 Q& b, n7 F% u: g4 e. D4 h" f· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
) E7 q( X6 S% |$ E) Y4 K7 p i& E· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
( w* Z) `& }" R v! T· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
) h4 t1 \! ?& \, J7 f· Complete program administration, statistics and records

8 E+ J8 U8 ~5 QQualifications:
- W& O; J6 H7 K! b· Completion of 12th
8 C1 A. E2 [0 x0 C, p1 B+ ` Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation n/ J* q( _+ ]* _0 Z7 U6 f! r
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 1 m- c! g2 B k2 N5 d6 }
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct * U! d+ w9 P" q- T
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
r$ E) b1 m4 ]· Experience working with and managing volunteers
7 Q1 o1 P, U5 n· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors . C) o) {5 X& J
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
6 N. W- N( W! b7 p' [· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
' x9 u/ G0 Z" x: g' s· Security Clearance
