Duties: Special Events 1 P9 ?6 g! T. x3 |
Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 2 G2 K/ f7 S! I
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee + p- s7 S4 Y! ^
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist 6 v3 w3 c- R* U7 }
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
# l' u/ Z" P7 `0 z) u5 ^0 badvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 0 A* B3 K& `; c* H7 J n
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee 9 C( n* D2 R1 w0 \8 V

Duties: Volunteer Coordination + X; y# _3 ~3 E, J8 O
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
( k, @1 k; ~7 e: n: S· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions . X& e D2 J+ T3 R( V
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
) e5 F9 Q* s" \7 x# r) a; h5 @· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
- l7 ]1 n( g7 Q· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 1 v" I% v; ]% H
· Complete program administration, statistics and records
; t# h1 s' @) I5 H. l- j4 q5 a+ W( E 0 O' V# ~: O7 ~2 L: Q( m8 S
Qualifications: 2 P# O$ B( @! Y/ _/ X
· Completion of 12th" m" T; q5 t/ g5 U' C7 }
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation 7 U! D/ m, h* {+ V5 h: l) R/ p: _
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. " x) g3 |2 H W+ O% U) `
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 5 ?# s+ c- J- m: s9 _
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
* ?' \2 k" k+ S( ]6 p, D8 G) f; j· Experience working with and managing volunteers
8 z, k; ~9 I/ U I; p· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors . V% j0 v P- k; }
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
9 U0 ?( \- |% M· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training

Wages: $16 - $20/hour depending on qualifications , q r! M/ i! E+ O; S5 z: S
3-month probation to start
