Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

. l8 Q; J: X% e& v) V( pPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
: g& K I' h' f c8 T% G+ k· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
; ]6 e" w9 I- a· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
; e4 Q& O$ @6 `/ R' lwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ! o/ U3 V6 H0 S6 e6 n$ D
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure ) _8 K0 F' W' c2 X) Z$ X6 h
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 4 g; ~# S2 |2 ^( s3 N$ E
· Attend and manage Special Events / }" i5 C# q! D6 ^2 W6 ?0 t8 |" v- R
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

6 f4 \+ u- a: K2 YAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: ( t6 S; d0 a. }+ Q
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions + b' C' K. Y9 p% N8 o
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 4 w' Q8 r, J9 ~6 m* @/ ?( R" W
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers 6 C4 ^+ X$ L! \, @# a: F2 P# a
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ; ^5 W# r' }* G; z" r9 t0 T
· Complete program administration, statistics and records

Qualifications:
& y' o, z! B& J! C* @& ^9 o- V· Completion of 12th, C' g0 ~4 T7 C2 G( B+ I. e
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation ( q" U, P4 ?) [% M' h( t6 @
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 3 p6 _0 F/ n. e3 V1 e9 |
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
+ x5 ]5 F$ C6 M+ w% texperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events & u% J! v! A+ [6 J
· Experience working with and managing volunteers
+ S3 P( y6 L( a" E- K$ R9 O· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors z' w( n; L* a4 O$ n
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 7 d. ?" t% y* d7 h: s, C. o! B
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
