Integrated Employability Skills Training gives immigrants the essential
7 G& ?6 k7 A1 O, rskills needed for success in the Alberta workplace. This 5-month funded/ |& j- l# u) ]- v2 l4 V+ o
program combines classroom-based training with work site visits and work# z3 h& v3 J4 P$ e/ I# Y
experience placements in high-demand semi-skilled occupations, such as

Candidates for this funded program must be landed immigrants, Canadian
p. c, V' C, S8 Z2 Pcitizens or refugees who are eligible to work in Canada and who have:
/ b* B. Y7 g0 x/ X* z5 w* English communication skills in the 4 - 6 range on CLB
+ z% l$ [% X3 {- U7 A# D* Basic literacy and numeracy skills and some secondary or post-/ j/ l3 o8 n" f1 ^8 Y
secondary education
: V0 D; h9 f* m0 e* A genuine interest in finding permanent employment in a high-demand, [- O' v V$ D/ [
occupation e- P6 q! }, v6 U$ u0 d
* Availability to study fulltime for 5 months and then be employed _( E% C: V3 a7 @/ V7 M- G
