you can set up by yourself, (hope you are not using windows xp starter) Control Panel-> Regional and Language Options-> Advanced-> Code Page conversion tables(choose 10008 (MAC-Simplified Chinese GB 2312)), install language package (insert your windows xp disk) , restart your computer.

Control Panel-> Regional and Language Options-> Advanced-> Language for non0Unicode programs-> Chinese (PRC)

我用的是Windows xp home edition includes service pack 3 Version 2002. 当我在
Code Page conversion tables 中选了中文后，跳出一个窗口files needed，copy files from D:\i386,要求insert your windows xp disk，但我插入disk后，点击ok，没反应。不能完成，为什么那？怎么解决那？（我下载了网友vanke的文件包，还是不行，）

根据你在电话里所说，这种情况应该是商家给你的光盘不是系统盘。
建议你在当地找个朋友帮忙。很遗憾，没能帮到你。

我都說了你下載我的那個安裝就可以了。那個是直接從光盤內提取出來的完整中文安裝包。
