There are many other orchid genera that are as easy as phalaenopsis and  only you move one step further  then you will realize many(not all) of them are actually a lot easier than many other plant families. Of course, interest always  precede a trial.

我查了很多资料了,但没有在ZONE3区能过冬的例子,都是ZONE5-6的,但我又最喜欢HIＢＩＲＤ　ＴＥＡ　ＲＯＳＥ．

" q# X* i) e4 A7 {' v' }: C, `Phrag.( a South American Lady slippers orchid genus),
. @; h+ b5 E! ~% K% M- r/ `. w3 M. FOncidium( dancing dolls orchid, you may see them for sale at Homedepot; the spraying yellow flower type is the easiest of this genus),
3 j9 O9 k: U& K9 t' V( g1 V) vDendrobium( common Asian genus).           OR

6 H% K# F' {# C; h, HJoin OSA and go to its monthly meeting where you will see a lot more different kind of orchids and meet many experienced hobbyists that are most happy to answer any questions you may have. They hold sales every month too.
