Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

4 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Staff
(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
5 J! G; I- S" a# C8 O•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
; g. s5 R) _2 [% K•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
5 v9 m% S8 @6 B  V# M•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.

8 l9 D# Q5 p3 X. ?- Z" }4 L•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
7 ~5 H" Q* N" o/ ~0 E•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
) A9 w% R2 G) m. o( @•        Documentation of a  clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check
