- j. }5 p6 a3 a9 v- W9 a" LBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
) k; v6 _% j$ x, B5 ^# ~Activity Planning and Daily Activity
* b: Z3 e8 V6 N5 V2 g•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
2 Z; u) r( O" _- C- K0 I•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
. k" Y/ n' p; \! q8 [7 e  u: N! E% v•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
4 M+ g  e- W8 r•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.
+ g7 e, g# M- x+ y) q  ?) B# i
The successful candidate will have:
4 r- k4 Z% L2 O' I) F•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
4 {3 ?6 p$ r9 h( Y$ o•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
: R) E6 Z8 G$ ]0 i6 {6 x•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
4 E( `+ e, e. \•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check  
•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
