) H+ C6 O' ], U# _4 Q [Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include f0 J+ n0 x" c7 o# Q3 j
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
" [5 D( ^9 |1 d0 ~• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.
5 E8 L Y" J9 E% O7 d; ~: P• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. " Z6 W& d" h5 X6 I
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, ! d1 q% k) S5 j$ M1 S5 u! v
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.9 s- c1 i6 `4 X/ y
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.! x, _4 w/ C7 T, E; ?
• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
! V- Z; O s% s% X2 j2 C• Experience with children" e$ Q% ]# u) d
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth 3 I U! p' }; X6 s y- u; {) D, j
• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
" E1 G- ?1 O/ ~' W ^• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
