Responsible for the following key functions:
Performing product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
% i. p$ O, ]- q1 b7 i; u6 @+ VPerforming changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
Troubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
6 Z& i  J$ h+ x; o7 T' ~# M8 fMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
; O! f1 x0 u+ Y4 L3 @, j/ H* n) G9 VProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
! d% ]% ^$ f/ x& s( JProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
. I4 M% W) y: o5 G  l: U: WDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.

Qualifications:
General:
0 ~2 C; B0 {' P, U2 u5 @Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
9 W& q9 i6 t' U( S8 H% c* _* QStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
  a9 Q5 S3 ?# E' q/ rStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
! q1 H4 b) k' c* ^1 M. b; U4 zTechnical:
0 Z( `: M$ b) r- i# CRequired:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
* R5 D: r4 x6 n: JDemonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
; p% O/ S/ Z( r! I2 YStrong SQL skills
