FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the

support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern & U& _. G W8 k
Alberta.

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
* o" g/ d: F% `3 n" LFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as 4 u1 j; h$ F6 Y/ Q2 r
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: 5 U) V* E+ i) a: e6 m. Y# r# a* j+ u
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
* D1 V6 E3 v3 v- w; ]- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books . a: r1 M( L& v9 K
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
; L2 t8 }* g' }3 M- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure @* a( x, C7 C2 Q# F
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( r4 ^6 o: k0 o, M3 ~

- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: - F2 J6 ]4 O% u% @/ f; Q
- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
8 G/ R* j2 V( i& q- Strong organizational skills : F/ j9 a& U( J) j
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
