support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
9 |) I/ |: x1 Oand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a ' b3 n+ q' k$ P- [- l' M1 Z9 u+ K
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the - r% Z; A2 K; q2 }* w" d
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
5 C4 V) i9 V* r4 c `7 R9 nwell as the script, magazine and book library.

& m: q' T' r) T+ Z, m- }( ?- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library + A" t. x1 m% n' E4 i# H
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
& s A) g% m( b: C! E' j- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ p. g$ D S5 i2 T1 N0 i/ z
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
' E- i- `9 B6 ?. W7 B J3 ^, q- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ( ]4 [: s- T1 V! L, j/ {2 w

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
5 y, D2 w, w0 O5 F- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
& L9 H' ^- s9 _( V& V' S- Strong organizational skills ! d9 Y) @5 a9 E. s! T5 c; w
- Experience or training in library sciences preferred * d$ E# O0 E# E7 G4 v# r
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal ! S* w) {1 e4 O3 `+ Y
- Strong team player abilities ; B# F8 M0 g% Y% k* [
- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors ( ?- c7 Z$ ~2 ]7 ?6 s6 o
