emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video

) m4 _/ q% n7 }- dJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
" R6 z7 N6 w! |/ ?, ?8 w0 LDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
7 ~4 q6 `9 u4 ~* ]assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department. 7 ?5 D* A4 `; d
" w B& ^" C; V4 G; f: Q( b; d/ vDuties:
, n2 E8 R$ y' Y' [: `- Assist with research on acquisition grants
$ W3 |) E3 I" w- |. }, V( W' b% ^, P- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities $ ~, i1 ]1 h) B* p& e+ z
- Assist with equipment maintenance
9 e7 y1 Z* b# W& \; Q$ e8 H+ ?- Assist with production logistics for programming events * e! k% |1 {) m8 r! U4 v
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff 6 e& G! m' _2 S" e0 j9 F' N
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable : C" ~& E0 E: y* g" L( L' e
- Provide vacation relief

- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

- Advance skills in technical aspects of film and video equipment , b' P: H% v8 B1 e7 k
- Advance organizational and research skills 0 j; \# i2 j7 N0 B0 q
- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD
