Job Description
$ F. ^ s+ ~9 f- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ; Z6 X' W6 E$ H% A; g
provide services for Chinese community
* K$ w: Q- d& |* V# n- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population * T6 `7 O/ m& [& `# ]; c- ] C8 |" C
access to mainstream services
% `) ?; d$ x/ U: X, w! s2 s' {6 W- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of - Y1 n2 q) U* i' P |4 o8 _+ a
social services
8 K( ~0 ~4 m7 _/ r$ e/ O- O- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
5 X$ J' p# e+ ^. A+ |- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 U* n2 c' T: [# l4 v7 U- update ASSIST website
8 N; ?' E7 \& h% ~# X- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
: h0 e6 E$ n& X6 ^1 P# ^- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services* i+ R. K: R, s* B. Y
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time! D8 X/ q7 D( {8 X3 L

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)5 {! Q6 I& u( d( N+ j5 w: j

Qualifications
* s1 X4 v9 v+ v" \- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
6 V5 N) a( j; t experience and education
5 B5 D: |0 y( j# B1 ^' e- good oral and written Chinese and English skills( R. m. }) X9 S$ O' J8 _1 u
- experience in community work and immigrant services
5 }; L( d7 W" N( G. T+ d. B- experience in website update/design" C, [8 }% R* e. w
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
