- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
! [6 o& Y: o( o h0 K; c1 {# |7 B4 O provide services for Chinese community( q2 `0 b& e8 p5 x
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 3 O" f' c; W) u
access to mainstream services1 h0 G$ k' P+ Z) Q4 o8 c; S$ g
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of ) r9 F- F# z8 v- Y9 V, Y2 h
social services
8 m% D" y. }' P6 B7 k! g- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
7 n1 Z5 S- V* f9 i0 I- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members g9 U0 [- \# E. p F& n0 h$ T
- update ASSIST website& }0 p) C$ v' J9 {! i
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre M0 V. c5 M7 l
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services$ ^3 z+ |2 B% M; Q2 t
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time. Y; ?3 V1 Q6 p0 k) `+ ]* r; P- H
- update membership database6 N- B! K- D5 P; I* O& J, r" g
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)+ C8 U7 W9 x M- j# J5 y# @5 E

Qualifications" J2 ^% A1 z4 x* P
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of 0 ]$ {) h/ e8 B) K( m% j
experience and education 7 i f* R- _* G" _) @7 t7 o! {
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
' ?: \0 L }0 E7 E. P6 C6 V' z- experience in community work and immigrant services
1 K+ X% {; M$ k x: U- experience in website update/design
$ t; P B7 E+ z, W! H+ Z- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset1 {( g0 y! F4 g% r
