Position title: Community Development Worker
Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

1 i% \* t3 e  K' Q-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
        provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
) U" |; m+ ^) \! J8 o7 a7 X/ B-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
        social services
& m) M3 k4 g  ?  j( t' V2 d-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 S0 |( i4 C6 ], _3 O# t-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
8 m* l1 r! z. Z* a$ o" l-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
2 T% v7 p: W, j-        experience in community work and immigrant services
8 E$ ~6 k, P/ A; t6 ~-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
