Position title: Community Development Worker
- {2 d& ^6 e& UTerm: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
2 t! H! a+ Z! ^& S2 [1 F# |6 S        provide services for Chinese community
: w9 t: w$ M) h-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population
        access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of
' _# q' q, T6 Q: i8 o" O        social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) m2 \% V$ o" |. `9 G& X% J. q9 {-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
$ Y1 \. G" q' \-        update ASSIST website
1 {/ d% N) {2 Y8 a2 d2 Z3 ?8 t& |-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
-        update membership database
, E' q4 |8 W! f* l-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

: V9 q% k6 Z9 P+ NQualifications
& E" U! P9 S  q' i7 C3 q-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
        experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
4 i: @: a# i' x& L2 d0 H7 Z-        experience in website update/design
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
