Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 20090 }4 n7 r. O; v' V

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program $ C+ Q" ]' ~; k+ w
(ages 6 to 15) 0 Q: t" n2 D7 V8 d; i
- Recruit children for summer programs7 b) ^) d! d- _7 W/ }, F3 @" k
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs

- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency( [5 `: R- I/ i" n B5 Q1 \
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager# ^2 J+ \$ y! a6 G- K) }. p" j

Qualifications: h* X$ P1 w; m* f
- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education7 t; ^4 s, n$ N! o
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children4 ~$ h0 I9 ^& l9 x* Z( `3 M* W \4 @
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
, W, [" y( U- N6 v6 o4 \$ w) r* Z- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
8 V: l W2 H! h: L- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese& \/ r% T- S+ J! a( o/ c
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities7 v7 Q5 ^. A ]! T9 l$ @4 v$ Q
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- @' ^8 n1 r9 D+ ?$ w: f
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)/ |# N& C r8 C6 L5 l
- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

3 p- B# B. o2 d( d- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) ; N0 u0 h0 n, y% [ O- e7 [9 B
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
1 B3 b3 E2 ]1 f. i6 \- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
