Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009, `( R! \# I2 f4 G& f/ g' b

Responsibilities:
* }# V' a% P* v9 h' s- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
$ [ T; `# L: C: t6 N3 R& a6 d* | (ages 6 to 15)
$ |& R; T+ @, v5 b5 Q9 M$ @3 T' y- Recruit children for summer programs
3 g# ?& D' } |- Recruit volunteers for summer programs# N! x4 _4 K4 _4 h5 q
- Record keeping F: J& c, A/ h" ?
- Provide orientation for parents( F" [) v: }7 F( }3 H8 M
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency8 K3 p' ^$ X/ T B# ~$ n) i$ X/ \7 ~
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

0 v# G: Q3 [( ] b1 n; b+ G7 y, W- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
) ^ @& n) n/ k) Z4 }: w$ M2 F# K- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
) O. R% k1 v9 D, u- h- M- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
4 t/ `2 ^6 ~ v0 E& h0 }, ~- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
$ E4 E; ~6 ?% H) m8 @- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese% F" G6 O0 w( ]
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities+ f) d' ?2 r6 t3 ?+ Z4 C
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision( q; @' D7 y: L9 Z- Q9 F+ t
- Returning student (should return to school after summer)

Other Information:
! v3 @( t. h/ n- V- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
4 P" u6 {3 x$ c' B and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
. U! r1 x3 P1 Y- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
