; i. @) J& ]4 k" p( p3 i( d * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
8 l: Q1 [) ?% G1 ^ G& v * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
1 c# i& K% ]4 V$ J' j6 i8 ~ * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance w. l1 j8 t! `$ T, `7 j: x1 H
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
6 j7 T7 n# @* u * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
) [; t$ n5 H) U( G- B* a9 n * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
- {$ Q+ Y! i7 z' j, m * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications, N1 c" U1 R% U9 }/ q
( d' d y2 B7 n4 z: B * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred
