7 ?8 N. d% T  I: J! V; `  T    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
0 {" G. n' a4 ?% v, V    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
# A" B" y' n5 N" B, Z    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

: z' O7 S% \- o( m好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
( U; C/ W, [; f7 p. `7 b2 kwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

6 N% m) Z4 @& A' u( a+ ~ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
