/ C) U3 d9 ]8 M* p Z4 N3 r7 t# n4 J * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
& S" P* \$ |& n! Y6 A4 V+ g * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis: b) ~2 A2 Q' K! ~
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
5 m, u+ b X" F& \2 s! M. H * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
- J J: p- G; {+ x( r5 T * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
