Duties

1 m0 Y: ]/ }  y9 T: ^    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
7 W2 i$ r4 {) z6 j8 s    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
( c/ V' A' M/ ~    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
* I' L0 C& }$ ]    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
1 R( D2 W; c' m/ k( A) C( t4 o    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
* z- R& W# o6 e9 d' F7 V    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
/ R  k4 l  T$ D2 y' b  c本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

& ?( M5 _! }; Z2 C8 ]/ @
1 s: ~. u9 o6 e7 [  M好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

    i think you misunderstood the meaning of GC-MS. It is not GM, it's about chemstry analysis.oh, my god!

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
Samples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
9 {2 A3 u1 G9 }5 awage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

: r& R1 q4 \) }ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
