本人今年5月毕业准备申请3年工签   但是护照2010年10月过期   请问护照可以提前一年多续签的吗?   
! i; l: h& |5 G3 C9 j. P因为不续签的话  只能那到1年工签  以后再去续的话怕没有2年那么多了
5 h4 T' o3 X, z* T0 y如果可以  学校的证明信应该怎么写呢??

you can renew your passport, and let them know, you are applying for a three years work permit (will be valid to 2012) and your passport is being expired in 2010.

: a# L; M8 U6 ]# gThey will accepte this situation. Please be advised that Chinese Consulate General does not extend your passport, and they ONLY issue you a new one. It usually takes a month.
