A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care. O; }" w' F# v7 N
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
5 Y8 E/ [0 m2 D% x3 j: c• Standard Child Care First Aid8 F2 K" X* T2 ?$ A$ x( L
• WHMIS
7 r7 C' k" M% F9 }6 ~1 L2 A• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care! l3 @7 f+ h0 w* S7 Q
• Components to improve communication skills
0 J+ V! G- ]3 ]4 J' k• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search3 i% U0 |. s/ D M
• Practicum Placements

! }) ~% o9 c2 X7 f1 b• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
5 ~; s8 p/ O% u) P) L7 eof Canada. Q" }, \: i+ V. B# W
• have a Social Insurance Number7 h9 f7 A9 s1 K! q, j0 ]. x
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
4 [- V6 @; f' t, M& a0 E$ @( `• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
: M ^" B/ y& R* w• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

• be unemployed or underemployed.
