A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• WHMIS) o: P! I9 S @0 p- K8 j! P
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care9 E0 ~9 n9 c* t9 T# K
• Components to improve communication skills* d% O- i# T, ^: S' q0 D
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search$ s1 N, I5 W+ `) D5 v+ r6 u( U
• Practicum Placements+ K! h4 A N6 m# A* b0 v
Eligibility Criteria' t8 {6 U7 b" }! `: t& l: O) g
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen8 X% I$ Z+ a4 p7 H% v0 H$ V% X
of Canada* k. J, S1 B# b( q) c# i
• have a Social Insurance Number5 z+ W" a# n4 W# o2 k
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check/ W; b3 `! ~+ t8 E4 @
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
5 Z; F6 _! ]0 V$ X6 e4 h• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time8 \" I: u+ C4 W: E
program

the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

They CANNOT quit their job to take the course/ n5 ~1 i/ R7 P& P5 M8 x8 q
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
