A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
9 H" i5 O2 V- r9 W, g* q* Gknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.
The program includes the following elements:
• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
: B+ K3 e/ l+ o' r. B• Standard Child Care First Aid
• WHMIS
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
• Components to improve communication skills
/ m7 H) D/ u! s! h( |1 ~• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
• Practicum Placements
& s" h' @, G3 W4 T4 y0 Z& @Eligibility Criteria
0 m6 r! w* @/ y0 @, A" e/ L' z• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
of Canada
• have a Social Insurance Number
• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
1 m# h- ?% f( A3 @) [• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
6 D; R1 ?- \. Y( J9 o5 x! T1 |4 F• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
7 \, b, ]2 F  t7 i+ O# R) i7 F3 b1 G6 mthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
• be unemployed or underemployed.
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
- [( i+ `7 \" ^• meet the financial eligibility criteria

Got Nicole's reply ., The fee is $4560, including everything. and many people are available for their funding. They have a finacial assistant to help you there. So fiRst either give them a call or just email Nicole. She is very nice and helpful.

our next session runs April 6 to June 26.  It is full time Monday through Thursday we start at 8:30  am until 3:30 pm.  Fridays we run 8:30 am until 12 pm.  The class location is at Nova Plaza (8914 – 118 Avenue).
