加拿大癌症防治科学院说，阿尔伯达政府正在采取降低烟草税的政策，这说明该省实施的削减烟草使用的举措发挥了积极作用。最近的刚更新的财政数据表明烟草税下降了6%，相当于5000万加币。

   该法案的最后阶段将在1月1号起实施。从此，烟民们将不能在大专院校里、药店里和超市里买烟。
