刚去了一个叫PETERPON MALL,很失望啊。

Kingsway Mall 或者 West Edmonton Mall吧，Southgate 也罢了，就是小点。当然，不要用国内大商场的标准来比啊。

哟，看错了，以为是Edmonton了。Fort Mcmurray 就去过downtown一个mall, 更没看头了。

看你是逛街还是购物?如果是前者,只好去爱民顿了...生活用品象WALMART, SEARS,CT什么的都可以.在这边购物的区别主要在于感觉不好,无法用性价比的指标衡量.其实东西也未见得少多少..

Yes, I agree with you. This is a very small town, Not convenience for almost everything. Following are the few options I did last few years, just for your reference.

1. Online shopping:

Car Parts: www.autopartsway.ca (they deliver to your house)
Tire: 1010tires.com
Furnitures: sears.ca ( Sears has 2 outlets in this town, you can pick up yourself)

2. Local stores:

Office thing: staples.
Sport tools: sports check.
Small Electronic parts: The sources
For home improvement: Rona, homehardware,Spruce lumber.

Others you may know better than me...

yes, but you still can find some cheap things to go to www.kijiji.ca if you are lucky; Change city name at right top for Fort McMurray.

幸好我是个很不喜欢逛街的人,生活要求也很简单.有时候我想,除了天气,这个小镇对我来说其实挺好!

刚开始知道要去Fort McMurray时，感觉有点反应不过来。最近经常到这个网站来逛，虽然还没有认识其中任何一个人，可是感觉很亲切，觉得对那个小镇也有感觉了。

这是个work-oriented 小城市或镇, 大家辛勤工作, 努力致富, 也是锻炼年轻人和新移民的好地方. 确实没啥地方消遣. 除了peterpond, 还有rivercity center, 后面还有一个比较大的购物中心 . 另外夏天可以打高尔夫球, 冬天可以滑雪.

另外Mac Island大型项目建好后, 体育消遣会有很大的改观, 大型的游泳池, 有WEST EDMONTON MALL娱乐泳池大小; 图书馆有目前的6,7倍大小以上,

本地有华人组织的排球、羽毛球和乒乓球俱乐部...
downtown有室内游泳的地方，Thicknwood的YMCA也有。
Timberlea有个室外体育场，有4个足球场地。

新图书馆在MAC ISLAND的大型综合体育馆内. 目前图书馆基本完工, 因为有些原因推迟搬迁, 但今年4月开馆的可能性很大. (也就是下个月就开张啦.) 分上下两层, 面积很大. 具体可看这联结: http://www.fmpl.ca

游泳池就得今年年底才完工开张, 是场馆中, 最后建成的. 还有许多其他体育设施.
