Job Description

Full time position (35 hours each week)

6 h2 H+ c$ b  t" U! k4 sJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
& P' @3 i1 s3 ^7 j) `' v- O•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
) [2 o/ S# h/ a1 C•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
/ K; d5 m: q. W2 E: n: H& T! w•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
  Z0 g& I( |8 T: \1 E: b- a2 r•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
, C- R# x% q, s8 W! `: n* y•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
# w; T$ _! v( X& P4 c•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
  P2 e& }! [- O/ D- j•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
