Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
Full time position (35 hours each week)
& m0 Q/ \/ F) d0 S* P- p/ z& U
, t/ z, z: s+ `( d6 q% R4 n: t0 fJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
9 P( O$ n; o2 V" S9 z9 n4 J. ?•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
& C1 }6 G3 U/ j$ b•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
+ U, w) n$ l/ O" ~1 f$ I" D$ N•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
+ U* z- a1 x3 G; {2 [+ w) Y. C•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
( u, N) S. w+ _5 t0 M- E•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
. t6 y, w3 b# Y1 y1 Z! g•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
6 d( L1 [4 ~( h& B$ i! g•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

; ]; f8 e$ N1 fQualifications
' S3 }+ P8 T/ h•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
- z  R0 }( ~& S5 d- i* T•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
/ L  x: K9 u) }" O•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
, @8 W4 o2 {8 z7 `* r4 x•        willingness to learn
