Position: Youth Services Manager

: R. g' @# `7 Y6 w! A2 _. A8 i• accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
5 f1 P% X" I; L• writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs , V( E( H0 h: C8 s$ E
• supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program$ \1 H! N6 t+ V9 N
• coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
8 T2 `: V* ~6 b$ W- S! j0 `• liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
% @/ U* d' }. e& Z( D6 T0 O• train in areas of management, organization and fundraising0 Y3 R% Y( u$ {6 }' f0 J+ ]+ p/ U
• accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model& V2 P: d9 r( `- d& z% |
• demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre* c; O0 T& E i& z2 e) ?, k
• participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
0 A& E& a2 p1 \- k0 R8 `: A• be open and willing to explore new ideas% n! l% ]6 T$ ?, x" Y
• assist with other activities/programs at the Centre# T& p& I# ^0 N& P5 n V) j$ ^3 J
• work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
5 \7 D- F1 _7 U( \1 _• be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor& [% f- R+ [: Q! Q$ g$ L( q

Qualifications
; n5 N$ v7 _3 P) f6 S$ u• degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience9 r1 d* X) Z z$ d, R. o2 ^9 x
• good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
1 N: G- \5 O* b7 T* [• experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
' Q$ D% l" i( ?. p5 c• leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills# H+ _; {" f3 b! ?
• willingness to learn
