The pain of our loss is beyond anything we could

> begin to understand the
; l. f; Q4 e. M- t' L$ Z) G+ t4 P> depth of our loss. That is true. But we know of One
> who does understand and
> feel our pain because He lost His son, too. It
> happened when God gave the
8 h! e- H6 ^; R$ b5 L) h> sinless life of His son ant the cross to redeem
% H' q. x8 Y* {5 i7 {# m6 @- r: o> sinful lives and to purchase
> forgiveness for us all. There days later, He raised
  z' ^7 C. v6 w( X+ x- I! F> His son from the dead
> and conquered death. It is though this event where
3 |( x  ~8 W6 m> human history was
> intersected by divine grace and mercy that we have
> hope. This hope, that's
' h4 J0 f6 e. a: I> what's sustaining us. It's not an idle wish, but a
- k, U0 \4 s! y9 _> certainty based on the
> promise of God. And this hope fills us with eager
> anticipation and a longing
) b: g* y& h- c2 ^5 D% ]5 u& Q* _> for the time when we shall be forever with the Lord.
> It is this hope that
> will ease the pain of our loss, as the Prince of

> and says to be still and know that I am God.
