Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant+ ~$ p! L: U5 F
Location:        Edmonton

& P) V" e# S5 y( D5 sMajor Responsibilities:
) u5 _4 P9 H8 J1 Q' D& S•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.) ~) b( F0 n7 I& i
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.* Q  V/ Q5 }8 w3 M
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
' T* z5 L' f8 k2 i2 v4 l•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.2 r# ~/ h" O7 D- t
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
/ g  `8 _5 ^0 v& D•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.' a. q# g) L& g1 D9 A' `
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
& ?4 [- x! ^, {7 h; j9 M•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
" p' K. q. b* w) @•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.) N" M9 M" {+ e$ p
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
. b$ o3 c! Y$ X9 C•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.* B- N8 n# S/ p! i
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.2 d, ]. O# ~/ C# i. K2 ~5 b7 R, |
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.3 _7 @# \2 b$ l) \+ f

Qualifications:
  Z. G# \9 T7 ?: M5 I& c•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ; i6 k- _0 d9 [' C
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 3 T. G5 f- x- U8 Z- P
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 0 s) a; C: f; S8 n
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 2 F7 X* h* R6 Q' w: a) |
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other, ?- h" K+ `9 a1 J% n& {9 }
