. m+ Y' O% m% ?* l. ^+ g. p    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
1 N1 P) _9 w" y9 b    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
+ y! T7 d) ~0 i! o: B    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
3 n4 I" }% v& w. o. n, p0 v    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat* Z! U8 Q( h' _3 ]
    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
$ s, O' [2 u, g3 A/ J    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements- D) O$ K, Z8 M: H' \! a
    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
0 ~/ Z5 Y- L* S, j: p. V- ~    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director& h8 H5 }/ l- q0 @
    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning  c) m( B  p* W! {% ?
    * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
) o$ F* U+ p/ q    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
' B/ z4 o# o8 u! P% O    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
" C+ E  I* `+ }3 {( v& O    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications0 T) ^" v6 p) I: C: r

$ ?. V# \* k7 T    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred! r- [, O5 V: ~) R
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
- w& u; \6 p2 ?% q# s- J- E    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
$ E7 u7 |4 ~# t    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
7 n3 |* s% m: B& x3 y- ^9 J    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills) A  b! g2 n$ A3 G9 U5 f# l' w4 f$ Y7 ?6 b
    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning6 p4 f! W4 [( k" ^: }. F
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)/ Q/ B0 J# U- u4 p% @
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills, v  r* N" ^. G$ }! d7 B
) d( n/ d% U, t, }2 g5 A; s6 B- V/ w
