# u. b7 s* V7 D; I+ G7 w * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program7 n6 \0 p+ e, X6 ~( m, t
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
u. ]0 N: D+ p$ e* [ * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
9 Q% q# ~% [& z: I0 g: k- z * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat7 v% ^4 q" M' i) l+ r4 G& Z" `
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
/ q+ f6 G8 w Z! j0 y( n% m * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
_$ k- H" W; O$ G: ` * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs; u& \& E% n/ |; _
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
. a( G8 o8 D& E$ {+ Y * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media" ]/ i7 U9 n, O! }0 @( }& t
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
: L* s# W& J1 U u * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
- ~* ?3 S9 c5 A# b+ @) h5 h- C+ | * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
. H) g/ F6 q) q5 `: J3 K * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
6 v) _3 E) z5 Q( p7 |4 D( t * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies

* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning0 X1 j; E/ R; G6 K
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)9 D v' Y2 B0 [7 ?, ]
