* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program) a+ K( |% y* ]0 e' ^
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, f F( f1 A: o
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
6 ]1 ?# W- L: I( W2 T7 | * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat. T/ `# }0 ^( f: m) @
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders# t/ ?8 _, v( ]/ ?
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements6 F/ n7 D* w/ ?1 n5 \; @: F
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs) u8 H% V8 t. c7 I; N9 A
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director* }8 t5 J! x" I$ f& m9 `
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning9 A0 C( m+ y- W4 M# y( s
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials* F" f, l. r( K5 u U
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media3 A* |! O# g4 ?4 Y1 b) X: B" Q
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results) _7 k3 k% s0 x6 z0 V& b' ?
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred$ f- ?% C' O) n
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
% o7 t( u ^2 E0 ]! Q4 q' Q * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
7 N- h- u+ k8 W* ~! g * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies, `4 i2 z& l$ \2 n0 w5 j5 E/ m+ K
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
, F# @! E' q( K0 J" G * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
