% ^" x6 A1 k5 \; j4 x' T) m * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
' x! \2 p8 M' V& J8 Q * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
1 {* Y1 S" t. A0 q * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
- ?* h# K- o5 @2 o% Q. u& B! O * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat, J: k' Q: }% U! a
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders" o9 G! Z4 d# f+ G
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
* s9 h$ Q. Z1 B( ~ * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
T- e( p( f7 ` * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
% P! Q7 ?5 g0 i! x3 j0 X5 F * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media, y6 _ v s. m- Z1 \
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

* N! r5 y# u- X9 _8 t * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
) ^4 h1 \1 q1 i6 r: j3 m8 T * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth. Z g3 S) _3 b. }
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
4 F3 B( A9 Q- e4 R* A' `* i * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
, B, Y( R+ `# A- B7 A * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
5 u! [- S7 W* |' d) H8 S * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning; `3 M/ c8 ^: {, g# W+ c9 w
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
