0 W0 F; Y, H4 ~" m" G * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
+ D2 ]5 c7 c* g0 f! V- h * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities. g4 G/ ^4 K5 n# k' v# y
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes% S! E1 I& W2 j |$ E- N- r& C- g
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat) ?1 E& G' ~1 j5 M
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders9 S6 Q) E/ x3 E5 O# e# l0 I, B) P
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements7 |1 y& c- C$ q% B
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs8 H: Q1 k- @* N: P$ D& ~+ j
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

Qualifications5 l4 q- n( b$ I4 X% ^7 b3 K
! z$ J8 n1 m( J& H$ R+ D * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
$ c/ _9 }+ G$ M2 X0 k! d/ M * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth5 |6 `. [6 f& ]7 h& Q: U/ D$ M
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset0 g, y* V% {7 g' J9 [+ B
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
& d3 g7 |1 q8 a: q * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills# ~7 ^) ~! j0 Z0 J0 i! x. i8 n+ Y
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
